    Picked up a rescue today...so sad :(

This poor little thing just broke my heart when I saw him/her. We got him for free from my boyfriends friend who got it for her son as a gift in June. He is 16 and only fed it every other week (because that's what he read in a book), and she couldn't even verify because she didnt actually see him feed it. Anyway he only weighs in at 105g and is the cutest little thing I've seen in a long time. We brought him in and fed him, and soaked him to help get the nasty dried up full body shed off. We cleaned/PAMed his enclosure and he is staying in our bedroom for quarentine. He has been such a sweety and did great going through all the moving and hadling. He needed a little help getting the food past his throat, down into his tummy, but we eventually got it. I love his light pale washed out coloring after his "neck."

Here he/she is: (we'll sex him later after he has settled)

Thanks guys. I can tell he is really laid back, and such a sweety. She said that their son lost interest because it struck at him a couple times. With everything that I did to this snake tonight, he never even thought about striking. Plus he was probably hungry and looking for food when he struck at him, so whatever He's good and happy now and Im excited to see what he turns out to be like. I'll take better pics in a couple weeks to and post his weight and improvements.

Geez, what a dumb reason to "lose interest". I am glad you rescued the poor baby. Good to know that s/he is in a good home with more knowledgeable/experienced owners.
