Looks like I need a new cell (Verizon)

I currently have the Voyager. I love it but it is falling apart So I'm looking for a new phone. I like the touch screen and the keyboard so I'm looking for a phone with these 2 features. I have a few ideas but would like feed back on them.
1: the Droid- I have read up a bit on these phones and they sound like they are excellent, besides the short battery life. I do have a few friends that have one and they all love them.
2: the I-Phone- I don't know if it has been released on the Verizon network yet but I heard they planned to this month. Haven't heard much about it but it looks nice.

So with these which one would you recommend and with the Droid which model? Need some help for someone who doesn't know much about technology besides how to use it xD

The iPhone does not have a keyboard, it's only virtual. It *may* be announced on Tuesday and *may* be available in February...or not.

I have a Moto Droid and absolutely love it, the battery life is pretty good too. If you tweak the settings you can make it last all day (screen not on max brightness all the time etc.). The Moto Droid 2 has a keyboard.

Android and iPhones are different operating systems and do things differently, Android has widgets and customizable screens, iPhone does not. iPhone uses iTunes, Android does not (there are apps to sync or you can drag and drop), you can change the battery on Android, not on an iPhone (don't have to have a charger handy, just a spare battery)...the list goes on and each has it's good points and possible draw backs.

It really depends on what you think you want out of your phone. Have you played with an iPhone and played with your friends Droids? I would suggest you get your hands on both and see which you prefer.

My sisters have iPhones, going with Android was a no brainer for me after using their iPhones

    Oh, I forgot...
If you are in an LTE area a bunch of new Androids have been announced. They don't have keyboards but they look amazing! They won't be availabe 'til summer at least though...

If you need a phone right away they have several solid choices. If you want a physical keyboard the Droid Pro or Droid 2 are great choices. If not then the Droid Incredible, Droid X and Fascinate are excellent devices.
If you can wait they they have some really great 4G phones coming out, and the iPhone will be available in less than a month......and yes it's gonna happen.
