PC "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" review; Rated M for mature

Got this game for Christmas.. so here's a quick review of single player experience.

Modern Warfare 2 is a continuation of the popular Modern Warfare, it picks up as a direct extension to the first title with the successor to the "heal" of the first game taking over the reigns of world domination. It is rate M and is intended for those people over 17. IGN did make an attempt to offer the game with the option to skip some of the more disturbing missions. Language is what you'd expect from a rate "R" movie as is the violence as there is no lack of blood spray or flying bodies at times. Comments made by the AI team members about kills made or derogatory terms used to refer to the enemy could be offence to some players.

The story line felt much more disjoint from the first title. Where in Modern Warfare your missions felt more cohesive by way of changing objectives, example you might have to rescue a hostage and in the very next mission give air support for the team you were just on to get the hostage out of enemy territory. Compare that to the second installment and one mission your in the snow covered peak of Russia and the next fighting your way through the streets of Brazil, then to the middle east.

    Good parts:
The over all look of this game is much more Cinematic from the first the prologues and intro's to missions can feel like a block buster action movie trailer, the environments feel much more vast paired with the new graphics engine textures, and backgrounds are more detailed. Weapons are fare more detailed and the options offered for weapons is far greater. Fast paced, the story moves quickly there is little of the crouch a wait for the enemy to come down a path. Bad guys are in great supply and seems to be more aggressive than before.

    Bad parts:
The AI team members still are quite bothersome, at times blocking your entrance to a building or your line of sight during fire fights. "Environment Hang-up" aka you getting hung up on the odd environmental artifact, Seems to be worse in this version backing through a door way might find you getting caught on a table just inside that takes taking a step forward to dislodge as sidestepping doesn't seems to work as well in these instances. Fast paced, there is little time to breath in most missions. Previously you could stop for a few seconds check ammo and location, not in this one when your CO yells run you'd better already be gone so if you like an even paced FPS this isn't for you.

Mission navigation while not a bad thing has changed, no more arrow you simply get a dot showing your the location of the objective relative to you with distance displayed.

Over all I found the Game Play very entertaining, if this will be your first venture into the Call of Duty Franchise you're in for a treat.

If you're looking to play this on PC get ready for needing a pretty sturdy rig to run it. While you can play it at lower aspect ratio's that's really not getting the most game for your money, the suggested system requirements are on the box.
But the average home PC should be able to run it with medium quality with out issue.

Hope to be able to do a Black Op's review before long..

Any particular game you'd like a review on let me know..give's me an excuse to play. .
