    Feeding Question

I am wondering which is more nutritious to my year '10 Ball Pythons, an adult mouse or rat pup. I know in adult form the rat can offer more nutrition, however I'm not sure in the rat pup vs. adult mouse contrast.

I'd go rat pup.. that way you have them already on rats and no issues later. If they are the same size the rat willl be better.

True, they are going to have to get on rats sooner or later. I'm sure I'll go with rats, maybe weaned rats by the time they finish up the last of their frozen mice.

I'm not too familiar with ASF's. I know their harder to find frozen, which is primarily how I feed. But if they provide more nutrients I may be swayed to put up an ASF pen. What are the benefits of feeding ASF's compared to your normal frozen feeder rat?

Well I feed live and my guys love them. I'll throw an asf in and SNATCH! It has vanished but, I think they have all the same goodies a rat has. Not 100% on it though so you might wanna do some reserch into that and if you do pm what you find. I'd love to know

I'm not so sure there is enough of a difference to really matter. I'm guessing that rats are probably a bit more fatty since they aren't cuckoo like mice and run every second of their lives. I don't advise feeding ASFs unless you know you won't ever have issues trying to find them.
