    Johnson Controls problem

    Hello all,

I recently purchased a johnson controls controller, and plugged it in.

I have the temp probes all in the same location (johnson controls, and two digital thermostats) and the johnson controls is erradic with its temperature readings.

Does anyone know a way to normailze this? I mean sometimes its 2+ degrees off in either direction, and I don't think thats a very safe thing for my ball.

    Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks.

Is this a unit you got from me? Do you wire it? Ayway, make sure the probe leads are not cris crossed and for some reason this will make for temp flux on the display. Also the thermostat will be the better of the 2 to take a reading from.. Let me know some settings the control panel is on and we can go from there...

ok, im not lordsaryon but i am his girlfriend and he said to tell you that it was wired by you and that the settings are dif=1, asd=0, ofs=0, and sf=0.

edit: we went ahead and plugged in the flexwatt and we were wondering if we should plug our ceramic hat lamp into it also?!?!?

those settings sound right, and they will be either 2 deg. higher or lower depending on the jumper inside. i run mine with jumper removed, temps go about 2 deg higher than setpoint (set at 80, stat goes off at 82 back on at 80). like rob said 2 deg. is not abnormal for this type of thermostat.

also if you are considering the variation in temperature, It may be because of your digital thermometers. I used to run 3 digital thermometer and my ranco thermostat and get kinda different readings on each. Then i got a raytec which is +-2 deg reading to check everything. I just kinda take an average and base my setup off of that. set the t-stat at 94....if it is 2 degrees off either way you should still be just fine.
