    new feeder mice

they gave me two guys and a girl instead of two girls and a guy. I had to seperate the two males because they were fighting like crazy. Well that is all ok now. I did have a question about mouse behavior. In the tank that has 1.1 mice the female seems to never come out of a hiding box during the day but for the male that is a usual thing. Is that weird?

Sounds normal to me. Sometimes females can be a little more skittish than males. I've noticed this also with the 1.2 mice at my school.

Hmm....ive found the exact opposite, my females are very friendly, active, and always stuffing thier faces full of food. They dont really care when im around.

While the male, even though he is friendly and lets me hold him, he still runs away and goes back in his hide when i turn on the light and come into the room.

Maybe she is just scared, maybe try giving her some cheerios from your hand so she learns that being next to/around you can be a positive expieriance ive done that with my girls and now they come out looking for my hand, its so cute when they grab it and scurry off to enjoy
