I believe that 1.2 would be the absolute minimum.

I would think anything less than a 1.1 would be detrimental to your breeding program.

Toms right though, they are colony critters and do best in groups.
I've kept 1.2 through 1.5 and the more the merrier

1.1 is fine.

I run 1.4 in a 10 gallon.
