Interesting Ivory from a Super Stripe X Yellow Belly Breeding

I picked up this guy about 2 months ago from Cypress Creek Reptiles. He was produced from a Super Stripe X Yellow Belly. There was 1.1 Ivory, 2.0 Specters, and 0.1 Normal according to the clutch info given. I saw the male and just though he was weird looking. I figured you could never have too many ivories and bought both of them. I did some homework and saw that it's not possible to have an Ivory Specter. If they Yellow Belly gene and the Specter gene are on the same allele you can only have Super Stripes or Ivories. You also can not produce normals from a Super Stripe X Yellow Belly. This guy is very interesting to say the least and I will bred him to every YB I own to see what pops out. Thanks for looking.

Specter YB = Super stripe. The animal above is clearly not a super stripe. It does resemble the ultra ivory a bit. Definitely interested to see what comes out of breeding this one.

That is one VERY COOL Ivory. I love everything about the ivory morph in general, and that one is spectertacular!

Re: Interesting Ivory from a Super Stripe X Yellow Belly Breeding

Joe those are incredible looking. They look very similar to the ones that Tim Johnson produced. You can see his (he call his the ODD ones) at the following thread here on the Forum. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?127611

By the way, there can be no Normals in a Superstripe to Yellow Belly clutch. They all have to be either Specters or Yellow Belly’s at the very least.
