Less than 2 weeks to the MARS Expo.
Who's going to be there and what day do you plan to attend?

Re: MARS Expo Timonium Md Sept 18-19th
UPDATE:
Went to the show today. Decent amount of Ball Pythons. Prices were a little on the high side in my opinion. Not many high dollar balls. Too many $20-$25 balls. Waaaaaay to many geckos. I couldn't believe the amount of Geckos. A fair number of tortoises and turtles. Supplies were available, but no discounts in my opinion. Again, Waaaaaay to many "just hatched" corns. A few really nice colubrids. I may go back tomorrow and take pictures. There wasn't alot of buying going on today while I was there. A lot of small kids going home with geckos and corns, but that's not going to pay for the vendors when each table is costing them $200 each.
I got the wallet out a few times, but the only thing I bought was a rack from Rick Krumrine. If I go back, I may try to pick up a male Lesser for my female, but at $400 I may just wait and pick up something a little bigger. My female may go this coming year, but these males wouldn't, so I may need something a little older.
One pet peave. I can't tell you how many "Proven Breeder" female Balls I saw that couldn't have been any larger than 800-900 grams. Makes you wonder?!?!
Buyer Beware: Vendor was selling a 2002 Female Dumeril Boa for good money. Only problem, this snake couldn't have been 4 feet long. It was healthy looking, good mass, nice coloring. However if it was a 2002, at that size it had to be a male. If it was a female, it couldn't have been a 2002. Maybe a 2008, but definitely not a 2002.
Bummer of the day: Department of Natural Resourse Police came in (under cover) and gave written warning to all that didn't have a Salmonella Prevention Paper displayed. I was at Paul's Boa Barn when the cop flashed his badge and said he'd have to give him a written warning. After the cop left, I told Paul to make sure he had it displayed tomorrow, because I bet there'd be another DNR cop checking up on everyone that got a warning today.
So, if I go back tomorrow, I'll take a few pictures.
Take Care!
