    Losing Teeth??

Alright I've been bitten my fair share of times by my balls and I have a bee that is a horrible striker. He's just over 500g and he misses every now and then and brushes my hand. I've been tagged by him a couple different times but it usually is a little prick just like any other bite. Well tonite, he decided to completely latch on to the end of my finger after missing the rat. This was the worst bite I've ever had. This hurt and bled more than any rat bite I've taken.

When he latched on, my instant reaction was to pull my hand back and he lost what looks like a tooth in my finger. I ended up feeding him the rat and he ate just fine. If it was a tooth, will this cause him any problems?

    Hi,

    Use tongs.

That way there will be a nice big gap between the two heat signatures.

Losing teeth shouldn't be a major problem as I'm sure it happens often enough in the wild. Just keep an eye on his mouth for any signs of infection or swelling or cheesy discharge to be safe.

    **edit**

Probably worth doing the same with your hand now I come to think of it.

Haha well I'm not to worried about myself but I watched a story on animal planet where a guy got bit in the face by his redtail and when he pulled it away, it took a bunch of teeth out. The snake never fed again and ended up dying.

I use tongs every now and then but when I do, its kind of a pain because the rat(ASF) curls up and chews at the tongs.

HAH was that the video where the guy was passing it around a bar and when it started to get ansy he BLEW IN IT'S FACE? If so, he went on to say that it never ate again and died OF OLD AGE. Naive owners

But yeah, it should be fine just keep a close eye on him for mouth rot.
