Hognose. Sand boas tend to stay buried in their substrate and not much display. Hognose have a great attitude, so do sand boas. Sand boas can be a little flighty. All in all, I think the hognose is the better choice. But that's just my opinion. You need to buy the one that you like.

    Good Luck!

yeah that happens its the begining of the breeding season, go to one later in the year when people really want to move them out and the prices will get lower

Have you checked Fauna and Kingsnake classifieds? I found my baby girl on Fauna for $75 + shipping... and she's a wonderful little snake, with no feeding or health issues. How much were they charging at the show?

P.S. To answer your original question, I don't have any experience with Sand Boas, but still vote Hoggie all the way!

    Re: help me choose

    yes i did
and i found some sweet deals too
man. the show overall had only 4 vendors holding hognoses.
lllreptiles.. had 4 hatchlings for like 79.99.. they were tiinnyy
some others had a pretty good deal. one had a red phase for 70 bucks and was at least halfway grown. the others, normal babies for 80 bucks.
so yeah.. people told me they would only go for like 30-50 bucks.. but oh well haha
