    Re: $1,000,000 Ball Python ?

    Doesnt Rich Have Goldfingers?

Im very very positive that is NOT the actual price for that snake.

Most likely it is NFS, or Not for sale. Thats why they put the crazy price tag on it.

    Edit.

    That blog is from 08.

Im very positive they have been proved. And are for sure not that expensive.

I wasnt to sure when I read the note above it saying...."but the male is a bargain at only 750,000", but yeah I didnt think of it being NFS.

    Re: $1,000,000 Ball Python ?

Most breeders who REALLY want to keep something will but an extremely high price tag on it so if in fact someone DOES want to pay them XXX amount of dollars for it, they would take it.

But generally this is double sometimes TRIPLE average market price.

I agree it was probably NFS. That's a lot higher than I have seen people importing unique/first of their kind animals from Africa for (usually around 100k-130k from what I have seen).

    Re: $1,000,000 Ball Python ?

i think that putting $1,000,000 also brings alot more attention to an animal than just simply putting NFS, and other than showing it off what reason do you bring a snake to a show thats NFS?

    Re: $1,000,000 Ball Python ?

Bringing a NFS animal is mainly to drum up interest for the future....and of course to show off the hotness. If Rich sees this I'm sure he'll chime in about the Goldfinger project if you're not familiar.

That price got someone to take a picture and you to post it here. I think it did axactly what the breeder wanted it to do.

Not just that, it got me to go to the breeder's website and check out their projects.
