Super Stripe!!!
Two years ago at Daytona I purchased a pair of Super Stripes and sent them on a breeding loan with Tim Lane at Ball Room Pythons. It has been a long two years but it has finally happened. Tim breed the Super Stripe to a Yellow Belly Female. It was a five egg clutch. We ended up getting 1 Male Super Stripe, 1 Female Ivory, 2 Female Specters, and a Female Yellow Belly. I am super excited. I even got to bring home the Super Stripe Male!!! So I finally have a Super Stripe here in the flesh!!! Enough typing here are the pictures.
Clutch #1
Super Stripe, Ivory, Specter, and Yellow Belly
Super Stripe, Specter, and Yellow Belly
Super Stripe and Ivory
Breeder Super Stripe Male
While we where down there Clutch #2 from Super Stripe to Yellow Belly was on Day 55. We cut them on Friday night and got 1 Super Stipe, 2 Ivories, and a Specter.
Thanks For Looking
Trey

Re: Super Stripe!!!
congrats!!!
but i got a questions.
when u breed it to an yb or ivory- is there a chance of producing a ivory super stripe?
do they exist or does the specter gene not work this way?

From my understanding the YB and Specter Genes are on the same position (allele) in the DNA ladder. So that would mean the SS acts like a Super Form(ex, Super Pastel, BEL). You shouldn't get an normals from a SS to normal breeding, so you shouldn't get an Ivory Super Stripe. But I know Tom Carlton has breed SS to YB and produced what he calls normals. They could just be ugly YB or Specters. I don't know! Some people think they have it figured out but then a curve ball gets thrown in so only time will tell.
Thanks Everyone! I am trying to let the little guy settle in, but it is hard.
Thanks
Trey

Now that's a sweet outcome for that breeding, CONGRATS!
