I was trying to feed my female hognose right now and she refused her mouse. A little background.... about 5-6 weeks ago, she regurged her mouse. I waited about two weeks and fed her again with a smaller mouse, which I believe she also regurged. My wife disagrees with me. I waited about two more weeks and tried again, this time she refused. I tried again tonight and she, like stated above, refused. This time was different, there was no threat display, just kinda sat there and barely tongued the mouse. That's when I noticed her tail was really swolen just forward of her cloaca. The bulge is noticeably larger than the rest of her body. I'm planning on trying to get her to the vet tomorrow, but of course, I also have to work. I'm thinking this is obviously some type of blockage which has been causing her to regurge, but is there anything I can do here at home for her? Any hep with this is appreciated.
