    stinky rat

    anybody ever thaw out a rat under a light in a plastic and when u open the plastic bag u get punched in the face with the stink of dirty nasty rat. i dont know if its just some rats or the source. it only happens about 1 of every 3 rats

    Personally I dont thaw in a bag, so that could be part of your problem. You're concentrating it, leaving it in an essentially oxygenless area, meaning anaerobic bacteria can have their way with it.

    But you want to talk about stinky rat? 3 days, they start to burst, leave brownish/blackish goop, and stink like the highest concentration of soy sauce you could ever imagine.

    It was in the trash and I forgot to throw the bag out ~_~ Then I had to investigate what the smell was from

    yeah i had the bag smell punch me in the face. now i just use an old heat pad that i covered the sticky side with foil tape. doesnt smell, but it does present the room so that the snakes get interested.
    1.1 het pied
    1.1 butter
    1.0 lemon pastel yellow belly
    0.1 lemon pastel
    and the addiction begins!

    feeders(rats) - breeders(1.9) very happy male!
    feeders(mice) - 2.5 breeders
