Same with CA. Well, non-native hots at least.
Apparently in texas you can go down to a Walmart and get a permit much like getting a hunting license. haha

Thats right in Texas all we have to do is go to Wal-Mart and get a 25 dollar license. No questions asked about what we are keeping. To keep native specices is harder then exotics. To sell and breed native speciese we have to get a seperate permit and log how many we produce, sell, and collect. Then turn that in to the state.

we dont do anything in sc. You pretty much own what you want to own. I know we are not allowed to own alligators unless we obtain a permit whihc I have haeard is near impossible for private owners to get. And I know we are not allowed to own black and white skunks.

In AZ you can only own native hots. All non native hots are banned. Even a diamond back from CA is a non native hot even though we have them here as well. No permits are needed from the state but cities might have there own rules. Also native protected hots are a no no as well. Also I'm pretty sure beaded lizards are non native thus illegal. Same with gilas because there protected.
