    Help asap

Ok so I put the back on my rack today. Took everyone out and what not. So after I finish and put every one back in I put the Ranco to Cooling instead of heating to see if that would help the weird temps difference in the tubs. WELL for the 2 hours I left it, it spiked to 140 degrees on the Ranco and 127 in the tubs!!! I checked everyone over and no burns. Now that I am playing around with it more I don't have 2 stages like Im supposed to either.
Faulty thermostat?? Either way Im pissed and need to get to the bottom of this, Im scared to even keep them in the rack. But if I don't I have no heat control for them.
    Need advice ASAP.
Calling Reptile Basics tom about the product, hopefully Rich can help me out.

The Ranco is designed to run Heaters or a/c. By setting it to a/c, you told it that it was running an a/c so it was just running what was plugged into it, and since the temp never cooled down to what you programed it at it never shut-off...

What is the 2 stage thing you are talking about?

Idk it's in the manual for it. And wtf it doesn't say anything about the heating and cooling system in the manual meaning A/C. I took it to mean something totally different. **** me

Do you know what your temperature differential is set at? If you press the "set" button 3 times it should show "Dif 1" in the upper Left corner of the screen. The number should be set to either 1 or 2. This is the amount of degrees above and below the set point temperature that the t-stat will operate. So if you set the set-point temp to 90 with a differential of 2 then the t-stat will come on when the temp is 88 and shutoff when the temp is 92. The only other things I can think of is make sure it is set to "F" for Farenheit and H1 for heating...
