You shouldn't rule it out after one breeding, try about three times with the same female, or a couple of the offspring. Could be a recessive trait.

He was bred to different females and to an offspring by 2 different people.
Nothing but normals.
I guess they could have bombed on the odds (I bred a spider and got all normals once) but I highly doubt it.

That sucks, but at least you can say you got one of the best damn looking normals there is. As long as you're happy with him, that should be all that matters.
