The wrongful death lawsuit filed against Quinton Jackson by the mother who miscarried her unborn child days after being sideswiped by the former UFC light heavyweight champion's monster truck in Costa Mesa california in July 2008 has been dismissed.

TMZ is reporting that the plaintiff, Holli Griggs, has dropped the lawsuit, meaning the two parties likely settled out of court.

Griggs' original claim that she miscarried as a result of Rampage repeatedly ramming into her car with his truck in an attempt to escape the accident scene so he could continue to evade police on a two-county chase was proven to not be the case as doctor's reports showed no correlation between the two incidents.

For those not familiar with incidents surrounding the bizarre police chase, as unbelievable as the following synopsis may seem, it's real.

Basically after Rampage lost his title to Forrest Griffin he holed himself up in his house drinking energy drinks and repeatedly watching the movie "The Secret." Apparently the film opened up Jackson's eyes to some never before discovered life epiphany that only self-induced insomnia and its related psychosis could reveal.

After a few days of no food and no sleep, Jackson got the bright idea that he should head out in his monster truck and after a spirited game of bumper cars on the streets of a few California towns, he was eventually stopped and arrested by police after driving for miles on his tire rims. Even if he hadn't been caught right away, the fact that his name and likeness were plastered all over the vehicle would likely have led police to Rampage's door eventually.

And here we all thought Diego Sanchez was the crazy one in the UFC .

Now Jackson will have no excuses why he wasn't mentally ready for the fight when he heads into his heavily anticipated UFC 114 match-up with Rashad Evans at the end of the month. He may need both the the win and the Knockout of the Night bonuses to pay off Griggs. His A-Team money likely won't cut it.
