Report: Tito Ortiz Arrested for Domestic Assault

TMZ is reporting the injury-plagued UFC light heavyweight Tito Ortiz has been arrested for felony domestic assault and is en-route to jail in Orange County, CA.

Police responded to a 911 call at the home that Ortiz and longtime girlfriend Jenna Jameson share with their twin sons. According to the report, sheriff's deputies noted "visible injuries" on Jameson, prompting the arrest of "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy."

Celebrity gossip and news website TMZ.com is reporting that UFC star Tito Ortiz has allegedly been arrested “or domestic violence at the home he shares with Jenna Jameson.”

The TMZ report goes on to say that they were told that when police arrived on the scene that Jameson had “visible injuries,” although TMZ did not cite the source declaring the injuries.

According to TMZ.com, “We're told someone called 911 today at 9:53 AM and reported a ‘disturbance.’

“Tito is currently in custody and on his way to a Huntington Beach jail in Orange County, CA.”

Multiple calls to the Huntington Beach Police Department were unsuccessful in verifying the arrest. A desk officer said that the department was inundated with calls about the possible arrest, but could not confirm nor deny its validity.

Ortiz is a coach opposite Chuck Liddell on the current season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series. The two were expected to fight in June, following the series, but that bout has been nixed. Liddell has since been scheduled for a bout against Rich Franklin at UFC 115 in Vancouver.

Ortiz has been very cryptic in postings on his official Twitter account over the past month or so, mentioning some challenging issues in his life that MMAWeekly.com sources indicated were attributable primarily to his health.

Fighting back tears, a clearly emotional Jenna was driving away from her home in Huntington Beach, CA moments ago -- when she stopped and told our photog, "I'm gonna be alright."

Jenna -- who was wearing giant sunglasses -- continued, "My babies are alright ... everything's OK .. he's in jail."

Jenna was accompanied by her father -- the man who we've learned made the initial call to 911.

UPDATE: Jenna just announced that she's quitting Twitter, saying "I cant take any more abuse from ANYONE.. To my sweet fans...thank you"

UFC Can Cut Tito Ortiz Over Arrest

UFC honcho Dana White tells TMZ Tito Ortiz could be booted from the organization if the domestic violence charges against him prove legit.

White says, "We're gonna be fair, but we could cut him."

White wants to wait until the police reports are in, but the UFC can take action even before the legal process runs its course. "Other than going on a killing spree, being accused of domestic violence is the worst thing you can have going for you," White says.

"TMZ has learned former UFC champ Tito Ortiz and baby mama/former porn star Jenna Jameson are withdrawing allegations that led to Tito's felony domestic violence arrest earlier this week."

"Jenna, who accused Tito of injuring her during an argument, now tells TMZ, "What actually happened has now been dramatically distorted and misinterpreted and remarks that both Tito and I made after the police arrived reflect the state of shock that we were both in." Translation -- he didn't hurt me."

"As for Tito, we're told he's now backing off what he strongly insinuated ... that Jenna is an OxyContin addict. We're told Tito's position now is that he found two OxyContin pills and may have jumped to conclusions. Jenna says the pills were very old. And, as we first reported, Jenna tested negative for drugs this week."

Tito's lawyer, Chip Matthews, tells TMZ the whole thing was "a big misunderstanding."

"One more thing ... Sources say Tito stands to lose $15 million if he's prosecuted for domestic violence -- the money accounts for his UFC contract as well as other businesses."
