    Re: Snake eyes

I am pretty sure it is due to the fact that most morphs have less black melanin in their genes, so the normals have darker eyes and the morphs actually have visible pupils and irises...

My normal has almost a solid black eye, if you look in the right light, you can just see his iris and pupil...

Spiders and Pastels have green eyes. Specially spiders seem to be "greener", at least in my case.

My Axanthic has pitch black eyes.

    Re: Snake eyes

My butter's eyes gradient from gold to teal to dark brown to pretty much black at the bottom. It's crazy. I can't seem to get a shot where you can actually SEE the teal though - the lighting is never perfect and he doesn't sit perfectly still. I will get one one day LOL....but here's the best pic I have of it.

    Re: Snake eyes

Along the lines of this question, do normals ever have green eyes?

I have a lovely light colored het pied female who has bright green eyes like a pastel.

My pastel of course has green eyes, but my other "normals" all have dark eyes.

    Re: Snake eyes

I love how different their eyes look! My Pewter has bright baby blue eyes. My Normal has dark brown eyes. I don't think I've ever seen a normal with 'colored' eyes before? That'd be pretty interesting to see.
