    Alligator Adventure!!

So a few of my friends and I (including PigsNPythons) are in Myrtle Beach this week for spring break. I've always wanted to go to Alligator Adventure, but never been with a group of people willing to pay to go. Well yesterday I finally got my wish, and I have to say that it was AWESOME. I am a nut for normal zoos, and to a reptile-loving gal like myself, this was the mecha of all zoos. Reptiles everywhere with just enough adorable mammals peppered in. Didn't get pictures of everything, and don't remember what everything is, but here are my shots:

I think it was a Sarus Crane?

    Random Adorable Duck:

    Hornbill:

    Ring Tailed Lemur:

    Tortoise going OmNomNom:

    Rubber Boa?

    Yellow Anaconda:

    Carpet:

    Green Mamba:

    Don't Remember:

    Gabby:

Only decent pic I could get of the black mamba, he was moving around too much. At one point he yawned though, and it was quite impressive:

    Not Good with Remembering Lizards:

Iguana of some sorts... Maybe Cuban?

    Green Monitor:

    Plumed Basilisk:

    Albino Gators!!

Some sort of Pygmy Croc, don't remember exactly:

    Gharial (Sp?)

    Gators:

    Go NCSU Wolfpack!

    Re: Alligator Adventure!!

Not a gabbie; a rhino viper
not a gharial, I think its a long snouted crocodile.

Cool pics! I wish my local zoo had herps like that.
For every 15-foot python out in the Everglades, there are thousands of species of clams, trees, cats, grasses and birds that are wrecking just as much havoc across the globe. So, for all the headaches the snakes are causing, I at least applaud them for being scary enough to get people's attention.

    Re: Alligator Adventure!!

We had a debate about the gabby. There were actually two snakes in the cage, and they looked a lot different. Guess one was a gabby and one was a rhino.

looks like an amazing time. I LOVE off the beaten track zoos that are not your typical zoos. Very cool.
