I have been as a visitor several times and as a vendor once. The vendor fees are way higher than Repticon. It is a good show but I prefer Repticon. Show is pretty big but you'll see a lot of cats, birds, and rodents along with the reptiles. Also has a petting zoo during the show, lots of kids running around. They also have a dog show everytime I have been on the fairgrounds, along with a huge flea market so it is very crowded in general. There are lots of down falls but all in all a good show, you shouldn't regret going. I'll be there, probaly not as a vendor but as a visitor.

Re: Railgh Gila productions reptile show

The only Repticon show I have been to was the Charlotte one. In comparison to that one Raleigh is much bigger with a lot more to choose from in the way of variety. I usually use the Raleigh one to pick up supplies, frozen feeders, and aspen in bulk.

The September show usually has a lot more available than the Spring show just because of the breeding season. There is a nice selection of everything reptile. Prices are usually in reason, and the ball python selection has gotten a lot better over the last couple years.

I am a buyer so I enjoy the show. I know some of the vendors get frustrated because there are a lot more people who are coming through to just look and touch what they can. A lot of that comes in because people at the flea market probably see the signs and come in just to look.

    Just my two cents.
    1.1 Pastel (Kenobi, Luminara)
    1.0 Spider (General Grievous)
    0.1 Yellow Belly (Sephira)
    1.1 Mojave (Mace Windu,Mohini)
2.3 Normal (Saber, Boba Fett, Ventress, Venus, &
    Ahsoka)
    1.0 Veiled Chameleon (Bobalouie)
    1.2 Dogs (Willie,Athena, Di Di)
    1.1 Kids
    0.1 Wife

Last May Raleigh show was awesome and expensive for me. The fairgrounds were packed. They had the reptile expo, a gun show, a power tool expo and the flea market all going at the same time. I came out of there with a snake, some t-stats, a new .357, and a new Skil-saw. I was grinning all the way back to New Bern...

I have been to the show every year since 1999. It has gotten smaller but still good for supplies.

Re: Railgh Gila productions reptile show

This show has gone down the drain in the past several years. I remember the glory days when it was at Dorton Arena and there were so many vendors with such great variety. Now there are hardly any vendors and the few the go are the same ones, quality and variety is terrible. Show promoters do not seem to care and do not even promote the show anymore. One by one all Gila productions shows are folding. Just this past year they had to cancel their New Orleans show because they had no vendors and I will be very surprised if they are even able to hold the show this May. The September show was terrible, people were demanding their money back.
