Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey March 13, 2010

I got Pacquiao all the way. Clottey is coming off a loss in his last fight against Miguel Cotto and he has lost to two out of the four good top fighters that he’s faced during his career. With all that said the WBO still has Clottey ranked as the number 1 contender? But the only other really good people in the welter weight devision at this time imo are Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley (and these two are fighting on May 1).

will be a good fight. Clottey should have won his last fight.

Clottey was robbed against Cotto (imo), but idk how he thought he was going to get a decision in MSG on the eve of the PR day parade against their guy. That said, I like pacquiao and everything but I don't as much stock as everyone else into him whipping Cotto (who, despite only having 2 loses, is constantly getting beat down, even in victory) or a damaged Hatton & sickly looking Oscar. I think he's in for a rough time tonite. I doubt he'll even hurt him, but he'll probably get a win by banging up Clotteys arms, shoulders and elbows for 12 rounds.

Probably.... if pacquiao plants his feet and fights inside like he did at times with Cotto,or gets tired, Clottey should and will bust him up like he did to Chico. Generally speaking, you come in 10 pounds lighter than Clottey and you got problems.

    We'll see.

Blah. Arms and elbows all night. This is the first ppv of any kind that I haven't ordered in some time (due to a fire in my aparment, and doing a lot of moving around.) and I'm glad I didn't.

Best part of the night was Jim Lampleys BANG! BANG! spazz-fest.

    Awesome.

I remember watching the '01 superbowl on AFN overseas. Late as hell but we all got the next day off.
