Dubias and "moonglow" heat lights
I've been using my spare "moonglow" heat bulb to heat my colony. I would have used a CHE if I had a spare one around, but I figured I'd give it a shot with the supplies I already had.
I was just wondering if using the moonglow heat lights at night really is just fine, or if these guys are bugged (bad pun) by having light shining on 'em at night.
Has anyone actually used these bulbs and had issues?
I asked Jason (theroachguy.com) and he said that he thought it was likely perfectly fine. I trust him completely because he sure knows his bugs, but I just also wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with night-time heat bulbs and roaches.
Thanks for any advice!

The best thing with breeding roaches is to have zero light. They truly hate it. Haha. An opaque tub with just a heatpad underneath would be the best id think.

I bred them when I had chams I used a heat pad under the tub. They hate light. I don't know if it would affect breding though.

Like all roaches they hate light, in my roach room lights stay off unless I am in there. It is heated with an oil filled heater. You can buy heat cable or spare flexwatt and put under the tub.

Heat under the tub is best... But, if you have to, your moonglow will work. Just be sure you have plenty of egg crates - if they can move about in the shadows, they will be fine.
