Im actually glad they "messed with it". In my opinion they saved it and did the reptile community a favor. It was taken to a serpentarium instead of killed. If someone had called it in they might have just killed it. And now thats one less snake in the wild that would hurt us. Its puts a smile on my face to know they didn't kill it. It might have been a little slow though due to the temperatures.

It was probably the best thing for both the snake and the area it was inhabiting.

I wonder what is meant by dormant. I would guess it was probably half frozen vs dormant. I wonder how it's health will be in the next week.

We've had 27-32 degree mornings here in the last 2 weeks, so I'm sure it's better off in the Serpentarium in St. Cloud. It's about 45 minutes from here, I might even go over and see it.

Looks like a good situation. The people holding it don't look scared and they are holding it properly, not hurting the animal or themselves. Very rare to find such understanding authorities in this situation. Like it was said, normally this snake would have been killed on the spot.

That was one of the things I noticed, too. Nobody that was holding it, had a total "death grip" on the snake at all. Very good looking snake. I hope it recovers from the cold..
