    new baby RES

Just wondering how often babys eat? I just picked up a little guy. He is about 3 inches long and he hasn't eaten anything since I got him Saturday evening. He has some kale in his tank and some Reptomin sticks floating around too. Should I worry?

Yes, I read through that when looking up information. He's moving tomorrow morning and going on a 2 hour car ride, so he's only in a temporary setup. He has a basking rock and about 5 inches of water. He's also by a window where there is a lot of sunlight, since I don't have a lamp at home. But the water is room temp, about 72. (He's coming to school with me). I do have a light on the tank there. I understand that these temps need to be bumped up a bit, but he's been swimming around happily!

I just don't want him to die! My roommate and I have had bad luck with Wal-mart fish, but I think that one is self-explanitory...

I guess we'll see what happens when I get him settled in tomorrow.

Just remember 10 gallons of water per inch or turtle. UVB and heat are very nessesary to keep your turtle healthy. Try some fish.
