    Camera Recommendations?

    Hi,

I'd like to get a new camera for Christmas, but don't want to spend too much money (under $300 would be great). My family has a big NikonD500(?) one which will probably be upgraded soon- so for the really nice pictures I just use that.

But I'd really like to get one that is more portable, yet still good quality for everyday shots. I have been considering something like this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-...d=FI62JRYIRAL9

...mainly because the amazon ratings are high and I don't know much electronics
