Gaboon Viper at the San Diego Zoo

My kids and I were visiting the zoo the other day and saw this beautiful Gaboon viper staring at us. All I had for a camera was my iPhone, but I was pretty pleased with this shot.

    Nice shot Maki!

I love how they blend in so well with their surroundings.

It seems they grow to about 6' but considering that they all look like really full body animals they show that 6' the way people imagine a 6' snake would look, haha.

They're truly gorgeous animals. I wish the one at the DC zoo didn't look so sickly so I could get beautiful pictures of it.
