Possible new logo

here is a logo i've been working on. would appreciate any thoughts, or suggestions. Thanks

Most folks under 20 will probably love it.

If they're your target, you've succeeded.

However, while it is cool, it's not eye grabbing or enticing, not going to have me going to check out a kids site. It doesn't instill an image of trust or knowledge.

As a drawing, it's pretty neat. I'm just guessing you're a kid, I have no idea. I'm not much for sugar coating but I don't want to discourage you either.

Occasionally I write things down. Sometimes I write the same thing several times before I finish with it. Sometimes it isn't right even then.

Don't get discouraged.

A kid...no i'm not a kid. I just draw my ideas out instead of writing them. I have a handful more in the works, this was just one the was "done".

Hardest part is always coming up with a name and logo that will appeal to both owner and customer.

That's why critiquing is so tough. Either way though, I'm sure you'll come up with something you like.

Maybe it's the medium. That's chalk, right?

Done with cleaner lines it would look very different.

I've never been a fan of cursive writing....because it takes me too long to pick apart the letters and put a word together. Could be my lack of cursive comprehension skills.

It shouldn't be difficult to read your brand and understand what it is. If it takes more than 2 seconds, then it's not affective.

I agree with Nate,and just to add, I feel business logos should be very plain to read and target what type of business it is. Also pay attention to the correct font size to logo size ratio. IMO I don't find "cartoon" type logos very enticing. I find logos with alot of colors annoying to because it seems harder to read the actual font.

If you want the opinion of a White, 48 year old Male, located on the East Coast, I'd say it's great looking, for an art project. It's a little too busy particularly if you're going to put it on a business card or use it as an avatar. I would reduce the size of the logo to the size you plan on using it, print it and see what you think. Things can look completely different once they are reduced to the size needed.

I would also like to give you my creative opinion as well. Me personally, I think the name of the buiness is too long, you need to have the name roll off your tongue. The only exceptioin is if the business name is your name. Then, I believe this shows ownership and then I don't think a short name is as important. I also think the left side of the logo, being black and white tends to make it look like a dead snake, I don't know why, but that's what it reminds me of.

You did a great job with the art work. It does show creativety. Keep up the good work.
