how do you tell when they're preggers?

I think I'm going have to post some pics and have some of the more experienced peeps here tell me which ones are males and females.

I've had a look at the sexing thread and I'm still unsure of which is which.

Also, how do you know when they're knocked up ? anyone got any before and after pics for comparison?

if her backend looks as wide as she is long, she's pregnant! as for the sexing thing, i'll try and get some pictures within the next couple days.

and this is what happens after they look that big!

count em, 27! from 4 different momma's. they were all first-time momma's though, hoping to get around 50 next time they all pop.

hey , thanks for the pics.

wow, I guess its pretty obvious when she's that fat.

I was gonna post some pics of the ones I have to get some opinions on the sex.

but the pics I took were kinda blurry , they were squirming all over the place.

are the males testicles easily visible when they're adults?

I'm not sure which are which still.
when they're running around in the tubs , I think they look pretty obvious. but when I pick them up by the tail they all look the same .

I was trying to check by comparing them to the pics in the sexing thread , but they're talking about sexing the babies.

The easiest way to tell male from female is to pick em up by the tail and far apart holes = males close together = female. The males testicles are very visible when they are adults (even subadults)

Does the same sexing method apply to domestic rats? I've been preparing myself to get a male and female rat (only the 1.1 group cuz, well, I only have one snake to feed at the moment. ) because I'm convinced they stink less than those darned little mice, and my female's getting bigger, so, I'd rather feed her ONE large item rather than several smaller items.
