Garter snake fish diet?
Hello!
So here's my problem: I'm planning on getting a garter snake soon. My parents don't mind me getting a snake, but they don't want me feeding it mice or rats, dead or alive. My mom had pet rats and mice all her life so she hates the thought of giving a snake mice (I dont blame her!).
So basically, there is absolutely no way for me to feed it mice. Could I just feed my snake fish (guppies and salmon) and earthworms? Or is there another diet I could use instead of any rodents or toads?
If I do feed my snake fish do I need supplement? If so, what kind?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Goldfish are bad for feeders for just about anything.
They are high in thiaminase which can lead to a whole host of nutritional related deficiencies and problems later down the road.
