    Back... off... it's MINE.

Rosalind rejected her F/T adult mouse tonight, so I thought I'd see if it was small enough for Pedro (who is a total hog). I opened the tub, lifted his hide, and held the mouse way up to check his girth vs prey. Needless to say, I didn't get a chance to "measure" before he grabbed the mouse from the tongs. Turns out it was too big, which he realized as soon as he dropped it down... but when I went to remove it (with tongs), the little sucker charged at me with an open mouth. He continued charging and hissing for a while, even when I was like 3-4 feet away from the tub. He might be a little hatchling, but that still made my heart stop for a second - LOL.

You're still there? I said go away...

P.S. After he finally let me take the mouse away, I gave him a (F/T) hopper as a consolation prize...

(the mouse's tail broke off with the tongs)

No not at all, thats actually my fav pic of her. She looked at me for a bit until I backed up and then she resumer her activities. I wish I had a picture of what my het albino girl did...I took her tub down and put it on the dresser behind me, took the lid off...turned around to grab the rat and when I turned back around she was sitting vertical half out of the tub...it was a whoaaaaa moment...brought the rat within an inch of her and she was coiling in mid air.

It was borderline, but he tried for a minute and gave up... I already know, if that snake turns down food there's a problem. He's also skinnier than he appears in those photos - only about 120g at last weighing. But maybe I'll offer an adult mouse next time?

    very nice ''mojave''.....

Thanks! He has a little attitude now, but I think he'll be a nice boy eventually...

It is a very cute picture... I can't wait until my spider is that big.

Awesome, LOL. Even though I know a BP bite doesn't hurt (it's happened twice - with Delilah & Pedro), it still makes me jump!! Human nature, I suppose...

I cant wait until she is a tad bit bigger. She's key to one of my projects but it doesn't look like she'll be ready until late next year.

And yeah of course you're gonna jump, youd be a robot not to lol.

What's your project? Or is it top secret? I'm not sure what to do with Vinnie (my spider) yet, but eventually I'd like to make some bumblebees & maybe even killer bees... since I only have a male pastel, though, that project could be a few years away. Of course the Sacramento show is next weekend, so ya never know what I might come home with!

It's like when the eye doctor squirts that puff of air (you know what I mean?) into your eye... I know when it's coming, it's completely painless, but geez - that gets me every time.
