    Finally finished...

Just finished my new rack. It cost me a little over $300 to build, but keep in mind that about $160 of that was heat tape and tubs. I also spent a little extra for the crown molding, casters and whatnot, you could build it cheaper. 41qt/18qt tubs

My only problem is that I only have one snake in the entire rack

Looks good. Does it matter that the heat tape is going long ways on the 41 qt tubs? It seems like it wouldnt give much room for the snake to pick a cool spot. Thats pretty much what i want my rack to look like, but no fancy stuff lol. Just shelves.

In my opinion, no. It still gives a thermal gradient, and the snake just has to move from front to back, vs. side to side. That and my heat tape is set at like 96 but the inside of the cage temps in the mid 80s. I believe the snake(s) will be fine either way.
