    Logo opinions

My website and everything about it is in desperate need of an overhaul. First thing I'm doing is making a logo as a starting point. My website is "Blue Apple Herps". I want this to be the logo on my website as well as business cards and such.

The first logo I came up with is my avatar right now. I wanted something that was simple, and embodied the name Blue Apple Herps.

Let me know what you think about it, colors, design, does the snake need eyes (I personally just like the cartoon outline look w/o eyes), etc, etc. Thanks!!

the only real thing that i see that i would change personally is to either make all of the outlines black, or none of them black. It depends on what look you're going for.

I like the logo! Similar concept to what I was going for with my logo. I wanted a ball python around a nest, with eggs pipping (and in the larger sized logo, you can see the actual little snakes pipping out).

I sort of like your logo just the way it is!

    Re: Logo opinions

Thanks for the feedback! Here's a modified one based on cinderbirds ideas. I do like the way the black outlines of everything seems to give it more definition, but I also like the different colors in the original...

I like the black outline outside of the apple but not the leaf. Maybe leave the leaf like it was in the original? I like the logo very much though.

    Re: Logo opinions

I made this in Adobe Illustrator. I found a pic of an Apple online and used it to trace a rough outline. Then I used several different pics I had to make the snake. I traced the head and the main coil and then free handed the neck and tail.

Once I had rough traces of everything, I went in and cleaned it all up, smoothed the edges, then added color.

Nice job. I like the revised edition. But I would make it a 2 color logo. Why? Production cost.
In printing business cards, vinyl banners, screen printing t-shirts, More color=More money. Just think about it.

Yes, I've thought about this. I'm thinking that for those I may change it, maybe B&W with just the apple being blue? I think I'll keep this color for the website, but will probably modify it if printing business cards is too $$$..

Speaking of whcih, I need to get on it with printing business cards!
