here we go again...mortar/mixing tubs (for rat racks) in canada?!

alright, i'm getting quite fed up with not being able to find ANYTHING i need for my reptiles! i visited every store in town that i thought would carry mortar tubs. nobody carries them, and nobody can even order them in!

so, if you're in CANADA, where the heck do you get your hands on the mortar tubs? does anybody know of an affordable place online that sells them (with affordable shipping, too, as i'm probably going to have to pay customs fees) i would LOVE to know where i can get my hands on these!

also, what size mortar tub is best for colonies of 1.3 "regular" rats.

You have to special order them apparently, but they're tough and work very well from everything I've read. Recently a large rodent breeder here in Canada re-outfitted his facility and used these exclusively. $8.99 each doesn't seem too bad to me.

I hope to use the larger ones (link below) for my future bp rack after a few modifications.

thanks, i went into home hardware today, and they said they could order them in, but only ONE day a year they could do the order, because apparently they are "seasonal" products, and they can't order them until next YEAR! grrrrr!

Haha, really? That's really strange. I don't think anyone else I've talked to had that kind of issue. That's very, very strange.

I'm going to be heading to one in the next couple of weeks to check to see about the larger ones. If for some reason I can order mine I can let you know and perhaps I can place an order for you and ship them to you? Not the cheapest thing in the world... but... yeah, it's something?
