day 55 and nothing. Should I cut or not?

Day 55 and nothing. A couple of the eggs have some dimples in them but the other three are still very plump.

Should I leave them alone or should I cut them?

If I cut them do I put them back in the incubator if so how long do I leave them in them incubator for?

    Thanks for the help

Up to you. Personally, I would but I have experience doing so. What temp did you incubate at? If you cut, then put them back in the incubator and leave them until they emerge on their own. If you aren't clear on how to properly cut or aren't 100% confident, then let them pip on their own.

They wouldn't be pipping by now if you have them at 89 or so.

You can cut, but like Jaime said, if you don't know what you are doing, it can have dire consequences.

I would say be patient. They will come out soon enough.

The temp in the incubator has been 89 the whole time. I think I will wait until the first one pips.

The wait is driving me crazy...

I can't wait to see if I proved out my het albions...

    Thanks for the advice.

Re: day 55 and nothing. Should I cut or not?

Most of my clutches pipped around day 55 or 56, but a few waited until day 60 or a bit later! They were at the same temps. Go figure. I had cut one of the ones that waited on day 55, and they were quite undeveloped.

I suggest waiting. If a few are dimpling, I bet you'll see pippers within the next day or two!
