Make sure not to pinch anything but the egg shell, the tail qnd legs are back there so be extremely gentle. In the beginning I had a couple babies not make it farther than that out of the egg & die, then later wished I had assisted. Any geckos I have assisted out of the egg are extremely healthy and not weak by any means. (It doesnt happen very often but sometimes necessary)

A bit of the yolk sack and umbilical cord, it will absorb that or it will just fall off, but yeah clean enclosure with moist paper towel is key so it doesnt absorb any bacteria and doesn't get stuck to the paper towel. Is he moving around?

When i pick him up he moves his head around and tries biting me and then he moves a little when i put him back in the enclosure. The piece of egg is still stuck the the umbilical cord and i dont want to just rip it off im hopping once he absorbs the yolk hell be ok and move around more. He looks like he came out of the egg shedding

That's good if he's alive, don't rip off the egg, or pick him up if you dont have to.. but make sure he has a warm hide and keep the paper towel slightly moist!
Best of luck to you :) ((sending good vibes!!))

Aww so sad to hear :-( honestly he didnt look well at all out of the egg, i think he was stuck possibly cutting off air with his head outside the egg. This happens, like Sammiebob said nothing you did wrong! Keep us updated on the healthy baby! :)
