    Should I Offer?
So as some of you may know, my baby bp Fírnen is a skinny lil guy. He went into blue last night, and I was planning on feeding him tomorrow.

Do you think I should try to feed him even though he's a grumpy lil zombie beep, or should I wait until after he sheds? Thanks in advance for your replies :)

I was told to wait because he will not see the food.

Well I thought that he would use his heat pits to sense the warm mouse, but I am afraid of scaring his little blind face lol

I think that is why I was told to wait. One of the others who have own snakes for years will let you know.lol

Rarely does shed line up with feeding schedules. I would say once they hit blue just leave them be until they actually shed. The defensive nature of most balls while in shed makes it not worth bothering them to feed plus it won't hurt them to skip a week ;)

My boy always eats, even when in blue. It doesn't hurt to try!

I agree that it can't hurt to try feeding but I typically wait until after they shed to feed my snakes. They're usually pretty hungry post shed.

I'm in the camp to wait until shed is done.

Both the shed as well as digestion is a "work out" for the snake's system. Why stress it with a double whammy? Not to mention during shed they may use resources in their body that may also be needed for digestion.

On top of that, rolling old skin over a "bump" in the body, might be harder then slipping out of it without a bump.

I know many feed during shed, and have no problems. I just rather wait ;)

Mine always eat while in blue. Always have. Mine sniff and use heat. They boop it and realize that's my food and gobble it down. I don't dangle food while in blue. I put it in and leave it making sure it is extra warm.

How often does a BP shed? Reason I ask, I've had mine for about 3 months and he's yet to shed. He's been eating each week and putting on some weight.
