    Banana Morphs
How does freckleing play a part in banana genetics. Just bought this guy from an exotic pet store and I've never seen a banana with this many freckles. He is only about a year to a year and a half old. Maybe he is mixed with something else? Best ways to figure this out?

Yes it has Black Pastel or Cinnamon which accentuate spots.

While spots on a single gene banana vary, in combos some will accentuated them some will make them fade or disappear completely.

I don't have anything helpful to offer on genetics, but wow those are a lot of speckles! It looks more like a cookie and cream milkshake than a banana :D

I have in my collection a Banana Enchi Hypo male that is around 800g now and has very little to no speckling. After discussion with many different breeders and looking I've found that Hypo and Enchi both seem to lower the amount of spotting in the minds of many people. I cannot prove this, but I asked many opinions at the Spring NARBC in Tinley about him to other people working Banana and Enchi or Hypo.

My boy is coming up on a year old and has very few dark spots and then some gray ones, maybe one of them could be called black, but they aren't the traditional Banana spots.

I'll try to get some pictures on here tonight.

I can confirm it I have produced many Hypo Banana Combos and they do not develop much spots if any at all.
