Just finished building this one tonight
i'm just waiting for the silicone to dry around the joints of the plexi-glass
just so you know there is no wood on the inside of the cage

this is the front you can see the sliding door (it doesn't have the handles on yet) and the tape is just temperary untill the silicone dries

this is just a side shot so you all can see my perfectly crafted half lap jointing

I'll post some more pics in a week or so when I get the tree thing set up and all the branches and the tank up and running
I should be getting the snake tomarrow so i'll post some pics of him when I get it

no i didn't take any pics during construction and i really wish i had
because all the wood i used was ruff 4x4 oak and i cut and plained and jointed it all down to 2x2's
as for Davids Question there isn't any ventilation yet i'm just waiting for the silicone to dry then i'm going to draw up a little grid on the back and drill small holes in the plexi glass for ventilation

I was thinking of making 2 vents 3inches by 3 inches with small holes every 3/16 of an inch
my question to everyone is where do you think the vents should be placed near the top in the middle or at the bottom. and do you think the vents I specified will be enough concidering the high hummidity that these animals require

p.s. john if you would like I could send you the plans i drew up for the cage.

you can use it as a basis for any cage you wanna make

I think a grid of ventilation holes on 2 of the sides will be fine.....you don't wanna allow too much to escapr then you'll have a hard time maintaining humidity.

    agreed
I think i'm going to judge how many holes to put in while my tank is set up and running
