    New Boys
Greetings Everyone, I am back after two weeks leave.

On Friday past, I picked up 2 new boys for free off an add on Facebook.
    Here they are.

    1.0 Pastel

    1.0 Normal in Blue

When sexing them, a friend pointed out to me that the normal boy seems to be displaying het Pied Markers. I don't know enough yet about Ball Python Genetics and visual markers to make a judgement call. Please have a look and give me your opinions, because if there is a good likelihood, then I am going to find him a Pied or het Pied girl.

    Markers are just clues.
For perspective: many of my bps that are Het for Albino have the 'Pied Markers'-yet are very much not.

One of my friends told me that his entire collection of Orange Dreams has the belly/caudal 'pied markers' as well.

I wouldn't base a breeding project off of markers unless the breeder told you that he is a Possible Het Pied and you are feeling lucky.

Thank You both for the feedback.
I would like a few more opinions before deciding which route to go concerning him.

Nice pickups for free. As far as the markers go, if the animal came from a pied pairing then those are the kind of markers you'd like to see. However, animals that have no pied in their genetic lines can still have markers like these. The only way to know for sure is to pair him with a pied female and see what comes of it.

    And to Lord Sorril,
Orange Dreams should have markers that mimic the Pied markers. It is a characteristic of the OD gene just as a checkering and yellow flames are inherent characteristics of Yellow Bellies.
