    Ball Python Water Dish?
Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I would like to ask a question.

I recently bought my first ball python, and she's living happily in a vivarium I made for her. It looks really cool, but the water dish kind of ruins the vibe. Does anyone know if I can remove the water dish and just let her drink the daily mist I do on the tank or if not, if there is any ultra-realistic dishes or another type of water feature that may work? Thanks, ~Reptisis.

EDIT: Nevermind; I feel like an idiot for suggesting I may be able to not use a water dish..I forgot they soak.

they need a water dish. i'd just do some shopping around until you find what you're looking for. look into NatGeo products.

They don’t really need to soak. Just give them a good size water dish and they’ll be fine. Usually the large fish of water to allow soaking is too assist with humidity and shedding, but a shed box or cave with moss should suffice. There just needs to be a water dish that holds enough water for the snake to drink

This is Pua’s water dish. I just replace it with clean fresh water every other day

no they don't drink from misting, water droplets or dew. Lol just get a decorative water bowl. the big box pet stores have them in rock and log forms. here's a few options:

This is my water dish that I got on amazon, it’s made of resin and is supposed to look like rock :)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...16ab48c6ff.jpg

Yeah, you can get all sorts of nice molded water dishes that look like rocks.

Or you can do what I did and get tired of molded water dishes that look like rocks and get a white casserole dish as a water bowl that is easier to clean in the dishwasher because a certain BP sometimes likes to use his water bowl as a toilet but misses ;)

What about a smallish water dish that blends into the background .. it doesn't have to be too big as Royals / Balls tend not to soak like a few other species do ....

I picked this one up at PetSmart. I don't see it on their website but our local store had several. Fits the general vibe I'm going for and it's nice and heavy too. Picked up the large size as well for when we move to a larger enclosure.
