The birds second day they were allowed out in their run we went to put them in the coop just before dark and they had already put themselves in there ready to sleep for the night. Glad they know where they are supposed to roost.

The one pictured above is one of our favorites. Unfortunately it has recently gotten larger body wise and feather length than the others. Just this morning while I was feeding them it started to crow, so looks like we have at least 1 rooster. There is a chance one of the others is a rooster too since they are starting to fight.

Our favorite bird plus one other got exchanged from the place we got them because they were roosters. The two new birds we got are Easter eggers. They are slowly being integrated into the flock. They are with the other six but stay to their selves. The other six have supervised free range rights but typically don't stray far from the coop. After a few days of training 4 of the 6 come running when I call them.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8721a2d04d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6f549f2300.jpg

Nice hens, they look healthy and happy :) Good work with the training too, they are fast learners.

Blue laced red Wyandotte and 4 olive eggers.

We also added a lavender orpington at some point last year. These girls love taking dust baths and napping in the sun.
