    Blue snakes?
My favorite color is blue, and it came to mind recently that I can't really think of any species or morph that's readily available in captivity (and non-venomous) that's like, a vibrant blue. Not a muted blue to slate gray like the indigo snake but, you know, blue blue if that makes sense.

I'm not even remotely considering adopting anything for quite some time, in fact the sole snake I have (a banana BP) hasn't even been shipped home yet, but I'm curious nonetheless.

Well, there's Blue Beauty rat snakes (Orthriophis taeniurus) but they don't look all that blue to me. Blue just isn't a color that evolution favors, at least not for :snake:.
(Truth be told, I think the regular Beauty rat snakes- the gold & black patterned version- are prettier anyway. I raised a few, years back.)

Blue baron's racers are a vibrant blue, but they are mildly venomous -- I've heard it compared to hognose venom. Some japanese rat snakes are blue, though not all over, usually just on the sides and head.

To the best of my knowledge there are no vibrant blue snakes that are non venomous.

Some garters apparently have differing amounts of blue. The brightest I've found is the San Francisco garter, though it is endangered.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0d7dd7389b.jpg

There's Blue Green Tree Pythons. Non- venomous, however their teeth scare the crap out of me...

How about one of these? Pretty cute, if you ask me. But still not a "vibrant blue"...a blue Green Tree python is probably your best bet. :snake2: (Feel lucky?)

"Coluber constrictor foxii, commonly known as the blue racer, is a subspecies of Coluber constrictor, a species of nonvenomous, colubrid snakes commonly referred to as the eastern racer."
