    Yes. The less they can see, the more relaxed they will feel. In the wild, they live in old termite mounds... so think of the darkest, most cramped place imaginable... that's where balls are the happiest. That is why they like their hides so much. They like the feeling of the walls touching them and providing security. The smaller and tighter you can make their home feel, the happier they will be.

    Thanks for the awesome post! How much did it cost to make this? And could possibilly sell one? The easier it is to do this the better chance I have to pursuade my parents to get a ball python.
