2021 Breeding Thread

Well, it's that time again so I figure I'd post a pic of my first Ovy for the year. She is an OD Enchi Pastel het G-Stripe and she was paired to my Pied Ghost male. So everything will be dbl het for Pied/Ghost and 50% het G-Stripe. She is on the small side at about 1500 grams, but she's a 2016 and her body tone was good so I paired her. Hopefully there are more to come as I did about 6 pairings this year, but who knows. Last year I did 3 and only had 1 clutch. This year I may be over run as I think 6 clutches would max out my capacity. Anyways, I hope everyone else's season is going well. Thanks for looking.

She is lovely. That OD does wonders helping hold the nice light color in adults. Congrats on ovy! 6 clutches is a lot of work for sure, but it's doable if you spread things out right and have the space in the rack.

Woah! These are gorgeous girls, congrats!

First clutch is on the ground. She gave me 6 eggs. Not seeing a ton of veins in the eggs so I hope these will make it to term. The next clutch is not expected to be laid for another three weeks minimum. Stay tuned.

My second clutch of the season has dropped. This is a first clutch for her. 5 nice plump eggs with strong veins. Next clutch is due in as little as 10 days. Stay tuned.
