    9 Ball Matter Update
Fresh shed on Eve today, she was hatched Aug 1st and is tipping the scale at a whopping 252 grams. She jus keeps getting prettier and prettier. :)

Hello all, I did a repeat pairing and was lucky enough to hit this combo again. Before I share pictures of this year's 9 Ball Matter hatchling here are a couple current pictures of Eve. She is going into shed so she isn't quite as bright as she normally is, but she is still awesome!

I think I need a bigger piece of slate. :)

Please bear in mind that this combo develops it's pigmentation as it ages. They are pretty much all white when they first crawl out of the egg and gain color with each shed. This year's baby is going to have a lot more yellow on it compared to the first one.

    These photos are post shed.

Beautiful snakes! For those of us uninitiated, what are the genes in a 9 Ball? (Matter?)

    Thanks

Hello and thank you for the kind words! There are several ways to make the "Matter" ball pythons.

    Grey Matter: Super Cinnamon, Champagne.

8 Ball Matter: Cinnamon, Black Pastel, Champagne

Super Black Pastel & Champagne will do it as well but to the best of my knowledge this combo does not have a cool "Matter" moniker.

So since my snakes pictured above are a combination of Black Pastel, Cinnamon, Lesser, & Champagne... They are Lesser 8 Ball Matters....I have made some inquiries and searched the world wide web and could not find where this combination has been produced... I submitted to W.O.B.P. as a possible "worlds first" and sticking with the whole billiards theme requested the combination be called a 9 Ball Matter...The suggestion for "9 Ball" actually came from another member of this forum Ax01, pretty fitting due to the yellow pigmentation and with 8 Ball Matter already in use...It has been over a year since the submission was made to WOBP and I have heard nothing but I believe the web site is no longer being updated with new submissions.

Thanks again and hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend!

    Aha, very cool!

I'm onboard with the name. Real stunners of snakes. Congrats on producing these.
