I finally did it
:):)So I have been wanting a green tree python for a few years now. But whenever I came across one for sale I either did not know enough about them or just wasn't the right time. We'll my wife and I were at the white plains show and outback reptiles have a few captive breed babies for sale. So after asking some questions and getting to handle him my wife said just to buy him already will you. So I got this guy a manokwori local GTP and he's beautiful.

Im not exactly sure I just asked if he was a CB or Wc. I won't buy an animal if it was taken from the wild.

If from Outback , he is probably captive born in the local facilities and then imported into the US. They usually treat for parasites just to be sure. Normally, they will make sure the animal is settled and feeding before selling.
Still, a lot of stress on them before they make it to the final home, esp. with a show thrown in.
Looks to be healthy and happy, though, and definitely very very BEAUTIFUL !!!
I would just make sure to keep it in quarantine for now, as with all new animals, and keep up the research on husbandry/housing/eating etc.
When you get a healthy well adjusted animal, they really aren't all that difficult to keep, once their basic needs are met..
Very pretty little noodle :)

In other good news he took a pinky mouse last night for me with out any issue. That's his first f/t mouse as they were feeding live before.

Wow stunning snake ! I heard that they have some crazy teeth that are quite large and if they get a hold of you they can get to the bone. Is that true ?
