Amazingly, for someone who isn't going to come out of retirement again, Favre is sure doing an awful lot of conversing with the Vikings. Why would he send x-rays of his shoulder to the team if he didn't want to play? And of course the Vikings are denying they'd sign him if he did want to play for them...same old song and dance from last year and it's even older this year than it was last year. I think Motley Crue said it best, "Don't go way mad, just go away!"

According to his agent he didnt send x-rays, he also stated he would need to be physically and mentally prepared to play again which he is not. Either his agent doesn't need his cut, is covering something up, or has no communication with Favre. Either way, I hate Favre but he does have a badass beard.

Well....just an update. I'm thinking he wants to play...for someone who hasn't missed a start forever, and avoids surgery when possible, I can't imagine he is visiting an orthopedic surgeon for fun. :P

Green Bay - A recent decision by Brett Favre could indicate the retired quarterback is closer to a comeback with the Minnesota Vikings.

Favre consulted with renowned orthopedic surgeon James Andrews about the former Green Bay Packer's partially torn biceps tendon, ESPN reported Thursday.

A source told the Journal Sentinel the meeting happened at Andrews' office in Pensacola, Fla.

ESPN, citing a source close to Favre, said Andrews and Favre talked about exercises that would accelerate the tendon tearing completely. That would likely allow Favre to play without pain or surgery.

But if the tendon fails to tear, it is uncertain whether Favre will undergo the relatively minor surgery it would take to make that happen. Favre might balk at the three- to six-week rehabilitation window for that surgery.

This much is certain: Favre is at least keeping his options open on a possible return.

Ha....forgot about this thread until it got bumped.

...Favre's family reserving rooms in GB I think pretty much answers the question whether or not he is coming back. :)

Favre will continue to keep throwing

You didn't think he was going away that easily, did you?

While Brett Favre's public comments appeared to close the door on another flip-flop, his phone conversation with NFL Network's Steve Mariucci left a different impression.

Favre told Mariucci that he was retired, but he's going to keep throwing and continue to work out. (NFL Network's Scott Hanson relayed the news on television and his Twitter account.)

When Mariucci asked how Favre would feel about his decision Wednesday morning, Favre reportedly said, "I'm wondering that myself."

Hattiesburg's most famous resident is spending Tuesday night out with his daughter in an effort to get away from everything.

But it sure sounds like he will go back to torturing the NFL public with indecision in the morning.
